Chocolate and Peanut Butter Jelly Breakfast Jar (overnight oats)

This breakfast jar is packed with beautiful flavours of rich and creamy chocolate over night oats layered with tangy berry compote and protein packed natural yogurt. It’s very easy to master and can be made days in advance. If you wish, for a vegan version- use plant based yogurt mixed with vegan protein 🙂 it has no sugars added and is full of good natural fats.

So if you in a lookout for healthy and nutritious breakfast, look no more and give it a go.

~~~~~~
Oats
50g rolled gluten free oats
10g natural cocoa powder ( I used Food thoughts)
1tbsp (15g) chia seeds
200ml unsweetened plant based milk, like Alpro
1tbsp Meridian Rich Roast Peanut Butter
Stevia to taste
Mix all very well in sealable container or jar and place in the fridge overnight to set. If you have a chance, give it a stir once or twice.
Jam
100g berries oh your choice
Sweetener of your choice if needed
Make the jam in advance or just before serving. You can use fresh or frozen berries for this one. I had a mix of frozen summer berries in the freezer so used them this instance. Popped them in a small saucepan with table spoon of stevia and heated till they broke down to nice jam. 5min or so 🙂 set aside
Yogurt
100g fat free yogurt
Half a scoop vanilla whey isolate
Mix the above in the bowl and start layering.
Top with more compote, cacao nibs, generous dollop of meridian rich roast  peanut butter together with other delicious toppings like coconut chips 🤤
that Meridian Rich Roast Peanut butter though…. drooool….http://www.meridianfoods.co.uk/
